89 7FM Perth The People The Music
It has been a big couple of months for our 89 7FM Acting Chair, and long time host of Talking Sport, Clive Adams as he counts down the days until the Commonwealth Games commences in Glasgow on the 23rd July. Clive will feature as a lead commentator for Channel 7’s coverage of the Lawn Bowls Program with particular attention to the Australian matches. Together with World Champion Lynsey Clarke the pair will provide expert commentary across all Australian matches on 7’s main channels as well as their dedicated streaming coverage.
Clive recently hosted the Bowls WA Annual Awards Dinner staged at Perth’s iconic sporting venue, Optus Stadium, and co-hosted Bowls Australia’s Awards Night at the Star Casino on the Gold Coast alongside Australian comedy legend Peter Rowsthorn. In addition, Clive then commentated the finals of Bowls Australia’s flagship event, the Australian Open, across the screens of 7, Fox Sports, Kayo and Sky Sports NZ.
The opportunities Clive is receiving now, with his commentary dreams coming true in a couple of weeks at the Commonwealth Games, directly relate to the experience he has developed hosting Talking Sport on our wonderful station over the past two decades. His commentary duties commenced in 2018, and have grown throughout the years.
