Drive with Steven and Kerrod has its last show

On August 1 Drive with Steven and Kerrod also had its last show. It was three years ago best mates Kerrod and Steve started their radio show and we would like to congratulate them for all they had accomplished.

Both Steve and Kerrod have pursued their love for radio and now have full-time jobs in the area. Even though Steve is moving to the eastern states, Kerrod is keen on working with his mate again in the future. Their three years has strengthened their bond and they will both remember their time together fondly.

Both Kerrod and Steve were interested in pursuing a career in radio when they heard about 89.7FM from friends who had been a part of it. They jumped at the opportunity to be a part of community radio and created their own show. As they worked together, they learnt the ins and outs of being on radio.

“It was not very organised, but good fun,” says Kerrod with a laugh when asked how he would describe the show. “And it was a great opportunity for us to be able to express ourselves.” Over the years, they had a keen following from their friends and family, and they are grateful from all the support they had along the way.

We thank them for their hard work over the years and wish them good luck in their future. Everyone is excited to see what they do next.
