Outside broadcast : McDonald Reserve, Padbury April 8th 2018:

They say time flies when you are having fun…and fun is what I had with the outdoor broadcast last Saturday, 8th April at the McDonald Reserve for the annual Whitford Lions Community Fair.

Nothing better than seeing the local community get together to showcase their home made craft, wares and organisations,  and for the greater community to get behind them.

The kids were having great fun with the biggest blow up bouncy castle I have ever seen in my life…in fact I am sure it was the Taj Mahal …
Back at the 897FM tent for my broadcast between 12 and 2, I had some great interaction with the wonderful kids roaming around including a very friendly bunch of kids from the Australian scouts who came on air to promote their scout group and to talk about how much they love being a part of this organisation. They were thrilled to get their voices on air.

After given the fact that I am in the middle of promoting our 897FM disco fundraiser I could not go past rounding up as many children as I could find and getting them to do a “dance off” for the best disco dancer to the Bee Gees! They were brilliant. Then a second round of dance was needed when I decided to show the next group of children how to dance to Tina Turner’s Nutbush City Limits…..
All, in All a terrific afternoon and I can only urge all of you to get behind all the outdoor broadcasts which in turn promote our wonderful community radio station and all that we do!

Special thanks to Ries who was so accommodating with some great disco music for the 2 hour duration!
Rock on People!
