89 7FM’s Outdoor Broadcast at Kingsway Indoor Stadium

On March 16 we brought our live Outdoor Broadcast to the Kingsway Indoor Stadium Open Day. This vibrant community event was filled with fun, featuring a wide range of sports to try, giant inflatables for endless entertainment, and competitions offering fantastic prizes. Attendees also enjoyed lively group fitness demonstrations, a variety of food truck offerings, and a social sizzle, not to mention the arts, crafts, and community stalls available to browse!

During the event, we had the opportunity to interview Linda Aitken, the Mayor of the City of Wanneroo, and speak with representatives from different sporting codes. The broadcast was managed on the ground by Ben Van der Linden (The Monday Morning Show with Ben V), Melissa Pearsall (Outside Broadcast Coordinator), and Kim Harrison (Board Member; The Best of Oz with Kim Harrison), with Anna Italiano (Programming Coordinator) and Steve Willis (Chairperson; Country Roads with Steve Willis) providing support from the studio.

Our team’s effort was crucial in bringing this broadcast to life, and we’re proud of the outcome. The Open Day was an engaging event for the community, and we were delighted to be a part of it.
