“The Noongar creation story of Joondalup’s namesake will be told in spectacular style across the night sky in a free public art event to launch the 70th Perth Festival this summer.

Using lights, drones and music, the specially commissioned show will tell the ancient story of Djoondal, the spirit woman with long white hair who created the Milky Way and inspired Joondalup’s name.

Families will be able to watch the show above Lake Joondalup from the Yellagonga Regional Park across three nights from February 10-12.”
