Diabetes is the EPIDEMIC of the 21st Century. It is the biggest challenge facing the Australian Health System and the fastest growing chronic condition, with more than 300 new diagnoses every day and a total of over 1.9 million Australians having the disease.

Diabetes is one of the Lions’ key focus projects. Lions’ members are on a mission to reduce the prevalence of diabetes and improve the quality of life for those diagnosed.

The annual “Lap the Map” for diabetes event is both a fundraiser and an awareness campaign. Additionally, it is promoting a more active and healthier lifestyle by introducing participants to a beautiful local walk.
