Music has the ability to make us feel a mix of emotions, from inspired and happy, to contemplative and reflective. Whatever the feeling, it is always based on emotion, music has an impact on our mood, our memory, performance and wellbeing.

Music has a profound effect on our lives and here at 89 7FM we love having the ability to bring music to the community, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, through the amazing work of a team of volunteers and sponsors.
We are a proud community radio station playing a wide variety of music and presenting programs from a wide variety of genres, languages and community interests.
We currently feature programs showcasing many music genres (and associated sub genres) including but not limited to:
- Rock
- Pop
- Country and Folk
- Blues
- Punk
- Disco
- Metal
Together with great music we also present programs showcasing Foreign Language, Sport, Talk Back, New Music, European Music, Chilled Vibes and Special Interest community programs.
